For audit reasons, printed invoices and customers linked to an invoice cannot be deleted – that is a basic principle of proper invoicing. An invoice can only be removed while it is still a draft. Customers can be set to inactive afterwards, which removes them from the selection lists.

If you are just starting out and have only run a few tests, you can reset the database completely:

  1. In the app: Settings → Backup → Show in Finder
  2. Quit the app
  3. In the Finder, rename the file swawi.sqlite, for example to swawi.sqlite.old1
  4. Start the app again

On the first launch after renaming, SWawi automatically creates a new, empty database and the setup assistant opens again.

Tip: The old file can stay on as a test database. Just rename the two files as needed to switch between real and test data.
Important: Once you have issued real invoices, this route is no longer advisable. From then on the normal rule applies: cancel an invoice rather than delete it.
